While I enjoyed the banter between Opal and Lincoln I just wasn't as emotionally invested in this story, built up traditionally as a series of starter. Honestly, this was an easy, fluffy read that would have been right up my alley 7 years ago, but my reading tastes have evolved a lot since then. Having read two T.I. Lowe titles now, Under the Magnolias was far superior in my opinion.
