Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend
To the heart and mind
Ignorance is kind
There's no comfort in the truth
Pain is all you'll find
I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool 🎵

RIP George

I'm still absolutely gutted at George Michael dying yesterday. He's one of my favorite singers, and has been since I first heard him on the radio back in the 80s. Have always loved him, and I suspect that I always will. Of course, my soundtrack all day has been his music, and I keep remembering all of the wonderful songs he's written and covered. He will be very much and very sadly missed. #rip 😪😪😪

DebinHawaii So very sad 😢💔 8y

LauraBeth Listen Without Prejudice was played non-stop all four years of college. I listened to it again last night and was reminded of how much it's impacted me 💕 8y
LauraBrook @Penny_LiteraryHoarders @DebinHawaii @sprainedbrain @LitHousewife I know, all the 😪😪😪 today. @LauraBeth That's my absolute favorite album of his, and yes, it has so impacted me too. I listened to it twice today, singing along and crying a little. Just an amazing record. 8y
Readerann Such a shame. He was so talented. 8y

Such sad news to hear about George Michael's passing today. He was EVERYTHING during my middle school/early high school years (on the sly in high school because Wham! wasn't cool). By college I'd moved away from pop, but I always had a soft spot for him.

53 is much too young. The hope he's singing with the angels now. R.I.P.

Godmotherx5 I loved him during my school days. I am not ashamed to say I have Wham! in my iTunes. 8y
Suetara He was much too young to go. So, so sad. 8y

MaureenMc I agree, so sad. So many of his songs from Faith are pure pop perfection. 8y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @LitHousewife Yes it has! Both celebrity and personally there has been a lot lost this year. 8y
LitHousewife @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Here's to a break from the loss. 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @LitHousewife I want to say, 2016 is almost over.... and 2017 has to be better....but I'm not sure I believe that one either. 8y

Megabooks No way! So sad! 😰😰 I'll have to add his songs to my mix while I'm driving home. I remember watching the video for I Want Your Sex. It was so scandalous then, but it's pretty tame now. 8y
