pickThe first book from my stacks has been axed! This was a satisfying, character rich chunckster from Trollope. The main plot revolves around a lawsuit which once won by the beautiful Lady Mason comes back to haunt her 20 years later. Of course, because Trollope, there are also romantic subplots - some satisfying and some heartbreaking. Overall, the novel is an indictment against the amorality of the legal system.
