I found this story collection unique and interesting. It incorporates magical realism and I just never quite knew what was coming. Engaging and deserving of a spot on the NBA longlist.

As with all short stories a couple of them were misses one had way too many characters and I couldn't figure out what was going on. But overall they were deep, creative, and absorbing.

Pick, I guess?? I liked this. The stories were somewhat connected and they get more magical as they go on. The one that seemed semi-autobiographical, and the one about the woman working as the funeral director thinking about her daughter, were my two favorites. But I am not sure that these will stick with me--despite the lovely prose.
