The twists in the book were as unpredictable as Freda herself.
It highlights the power that lies can have, how much they can change lives, and how they can come back to haunt you.
Very entertaining, I enjoyed it and would recommend.

It‘s been a crazy day at work, but since I‘m working alone due to a shortage of staff I‘m able to listen to my audiobooks while working. Small victories! 😜 This started off more as a contemporary, with the psychological thriller part coming in during the last third of the book. Still enjoyed it though. +16 points for #TeamSlaughter 🖤

I wasnt expecting the drama that went with this but it was so good. I worried when the drama kicked in half way through but the rest was slower yet perfect for the story. This is told from Joely and the girl from the story she is writing. I loved the eventual connections between them all and though I figured out some of the truth, others took me by surprise. The ending was very interesting and brought the story to a clever and touching finish 4*

I very much enjoyed this story about secrets which can come back to haunt a person and the chaos they leave in their path. I loved the setting. It‘s beautifully written, as all Susan Lewis‘ books are, with some great characters. It‘s gripping and entertaining. It does go off at a tangent at one point but one has to remember it‘s fiction where anything can happen! It‘s quite the page turner nevertheless. #Pigeonhole
