Loved “Watching from the Dark“ was such a good book in the DCI Jonah Sheens series. The second book left me wanting to read more of Lodge's books.
A guy, Adain, witnesses a murder on Skype. He calls the police but waits a day before. DCI Sheens finds out about the case and soon takes over. He is dealing with people that aren't telling them everything they know.

Zoe is murdered, an ex (maybe) boyfriend witnesses it on skype - all of her friends are suspects. This was good, didn't figure it out until the end, and the detective characters were good (liked the team). Zoe's friends dependency on her and the way they zapped her positive energy was tiring to read at times, BUT still a good read.

Make a great day everyone 😊
My goal for #JoysofJune is to finish the three books (in red) I am currently reading. Turns out I read a lot of books with the same first letter in the title, so my #AlphabeticalBingo is going to be more challenging this year than I thought 😂 My #BookSpinBingo is all over the place , I'm good with that though since I'm enjoying my reads! 👍

This is a great murder mystery. Suspenseful and intriguing from the first chapter to the last. A college student is murdered. During the investigation, we get to know her friends and her lover. As suspicians move from person to person, Lodge skillfully illustrates how no one's motivations are as clear as they seem, and friendships are complicated and involve a lot more than nice feelings.
I really enjoyed this book! Some books have so many characters it feels overwhelming to keep up. This book on the contrary I think it was better cause of all the who could of dunnits 😊 I was suspicious of everyone!! Lol Great book. Not as great as She lies on Wait by same author.
My April reading was a bit slower than previous months but I finished the following:
Black Rock Bay by Brianna Labuskes
Sugar and Vice by Eve Calder
Tuesday‘s Gone by Nicci French
Cross Her Heart by Melinda Leigh
Watching From the Dark by Gytha Lodge
It ended up being a solid month quality wise even if I didn‘t read as many books as I usually do!
This was an interesting crime thriller that kept you guessing as to who was behind it. There were many twists but ultimately I figured out the killers identity. I liked that each suspect had a possible motive and you couldn't be sure of their role especially Aidan. The ending was cleverly done and I liked the open hint about future books. This is book 2 in a series and I havent read the first. #Netgalley 4*
