Lord of the Rings, but with a lot more grey areas. This is a reread: I believe I've only ever read this duology once, and 200 pages in I almost want to stop because aaaah I know things can't work out okay.
I'll admit to being an instant and total sucker for Taranos: bitter, vengeful, and loyal to his new lord, with love ultimately at the heart of all he does.
Some of my good friends are moving across the country (boo!) so I got their bookshelves (yay!).
We had planned to leave the majority of the books boxed while we‘re renting, as we plan to buy a house in the next two years and will buy new shelves that fit the house. But my preciouses have been rescued! This is shelf 1 of 4! Fantasy/ sci-fi/ dystopian, coffee table books, and children‘s books.

pickI was finally able to sink into this story and I'm really glad I did. I guess previous times just weren't the right times. I think I've accomplished something like 2 hours on the #24in48 this weekend. Kids ruin everything! Hehe. It's been super stormy here today so that made for some nice reading time. Even with all the other stuff I had to do this weekend I did use this readathon to commit to actual pockets of reading, so that's good.
