Mehso-so

My biggest issue with Head Lopper is that I wanted to love it. MacLean's stylish illustrations and Spicer's great colour work makes this a beautiful book to look at. Unfortunately the plot, character development, and fight scenes all suffer from being a bit too predictable and dull.

A treat for fans of the darker, Lich story arc in Adventure Time, and the epic choreography of Samurai Jack! Norgal, a very Norse-lookin' hero known for his skill in decapitating creatures by sword, and Agatha, the chatty, irksome head of a blue witch he carries with him, travel the island of Barra ridding it of its Plague of Beasts, unearthing treasonous schemes on its throne, and ultimately facing the evil sorcerer at its boggy core. Epic fun!
