A great middle grade introduction to Alex Cross's son Ali, who is whip smart, just like his father. Ali's friend Gabe goes missing and he decides to take matters into his own hands with some detective work. Ali is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in, especially if his gut tells him something is wrong, even if he's got to break a mess of rules.

I dont think I've read anything faster. I finished this in 5hrs. This was a great start, to what I hope is another Patterson series. Highly recommend.

This was such a quick read. I finished it in 2 days! This is the first in a spinoff series featuring Alex Cross and his youngest son Ali. I really enjoyed this book and I hope that the series will continue. Alex Cross is one of my favorite Patterson characters and I just loved following Ali in his investigative adventure.
