I‘ll admit I was predisposed to like this book - I do follow the author/artist on Instagram and love seeing the quotes from authors along with a simply sweet likeness. It‘s nice having a collection in print. This a quick and light read with slight insights to some authors.

I didn't really understand what this was about until I got it and flipped through (I thought it was about books the author had read), and so it was a super pleasant surprise! Fantastic concept, loved the quotes and the artwork.

Here's a #bookwithpictures that I received last week at the Random House open house. The author goes to book readings and doodles pics and quotes. I love going to author events. Fortunately, I work in a school district close to several big independent bookstores that bring in a lot of people. So I was excited about this book. I didn't know what to expect but I was kinda disappointed. It was mostly drawings of the authors with a great quote, which I loved, but I guess what I really wanted was more stories like the one pictured.

The author hosted a signed bookplate giveaway on her Instagram awhile ago, and this was the one I received 🐶😍
