“Green is the grass,/ And green is the tree,/ Green is the leaves,/ And green is the sea.”
“Green is the grass,/ And green is the tree,/ Green is the leaves,/ And green is the sea.”
This would be a great addition to the classroom because it has rich language that describes colors as well as share meanings
This book has a collection of poems and has a colorful display of pictures that is fun to read and look at!

This P book is great for a classroom, or at home! This book has 12 poems, each about different colors. It incorporates what the colors feel like and use real life items to bring the poems to life. This would be fun to do DR and give students different colors to reenact! They could share it in a showcase with other students and parents as well! #UCFLAE3414SP20
Some of the things in this book can be offensive but that may be because it is outdated. I wouldn‘t use it in my classroom for this reason but other than that it would be an opportunity for learning about colors!
This poetry book is all about the colors on the spectrum! This book is a great opportunity to get children thinking about the world around them and relating colors to the things they see everyday. The illustrations really help depict the colors bring described. Each poem is centered around a particular color, and listed in each are possible things that are that color!
