Anyone going to Books For The Beast in October? I started a journal for notes.

This one is another so-so that could have been a pick but the writing and characters were inconsistent. Also, it reads more like a middle grade than YA book sometimes. After I finished the book I checked out some of the Goodreads reviews and they're on target. I recommend checking them out before starting the series so you know what you're getting. I like the overall story enough to try the second book, though.

all of my recent library e-book picks are by Asian-American authors! excited to read this bunch (also I have so many library books to get through in the next two weeks, help)
