Jess_Read_This @Crinoline_Laphroaig Lucky! Here in Michigan mine are just now popping up, no blooms. My pop of yellow is my daffodils. 💛 5y

Crinoline_Laphroaig @Jess_Read_This Daffys are my favorite! We moved to Oklahoma when I was 8yrs old from California. I'd never seen daffodils. That first spring I fell in love with them 5y
Jess_Read_This @Crinoline_Laphroaig They are my first flower I see here in spring. So they are so special to me. Then I have a patch of wild violets that bloom next. I love my old faithful flowers that tell me winter is fading away. 5y

Some of these are harder to abide by in rural areas but some good info

Chrissyreadit This is on my amazon wishlist. Glad to hear it‘s good. 5y
cherinium This has been one of my big goals lately. I have recently switched to bar shampoo, conditioner and soap. I'm just taking one step at a time, making one change to my lifestyle at a time. Once it's routine, it's time for another change.💚💚💚 5y
Nebklvr @Chrissyreadit pretty good but very small. Hope you can find it cheap 5y

Nebklvr @cherinium I think that is reasonable. Will try to initiate change that way. (edited) 5y
LinesUponAPage We just moved where they recycle in the county is big bucks & it‘s only cardboard, paper, tin. I growl & complain to my husband all the time because we moved from California & we recycled everything. Everything grown or produced in the State was packaged in either cardboard, milk carton type material or in glass. We (by law) used reusable bags & could turn in milk bottles, drink bottles & any other glass for a 50% refund. I hate trash days now. 5y
LinesUponAPage We compost a lot now, grow our own fruits & veggies & burn the cardboard packaging of everything in our wood burning stove just to make me feel as if I‘m still doing something since recycling is out. No more plastic water bottles, no more plastic 1x use straws- only metal or hard plastic that is reusable. I even try refurbishing furniture when i need a bookcase or dresser. Seriously someone else‘s trash can be another woman‘s treasure. Lol 5y
HannaPolkadots I fight plastic by always bringing tote bags when shopping, and I am in the process of filling my kitchen with stasher bags and bee wax paper, but they are expensive, so it will take some time before my kitchen is plastic free. I also buy soap and shampoo bars, and try to avoid scrubs and toothpaste with microplastic in them. I just bought a LastSwab, washable reusable qtips, so I d 5y
HannaPolkadots So I don't throw away at least one everyday. Finally, whenever I'm outside I try to remember to pick up thrash I see along the way. "Little by little one travels far" ? 5y
Chrissyreadit @Lifeisasnap yes- I get very stressed about containers and plastics. We are using stainless steel straws and I‘m trying to get everyone on board with less consumer packaging but it has been harder than I expected. It was not like this when I was younger- I‘ve been working with my teens on this too but our culture is awful with disposable mindset 5y
Nebklvr @Lifeisasnap It is hard when recycle isn‘t accessible. Also, no milk service and everything sold in plastic but it sounds like you are doing great. I need to get on board 5y
Nebklvr @HannaPolkadots I realize I might not get to plastic free but you‘ve inspired me to make changes that will help. 5y
HannaPolkadots @Nebklvr - I am so glad to hear that!😀 5y
