When Darryl F. Zanuck introduced her to America in 1937, young Norwegian figure skater Sonja Henie had won ten World Figure Skating championships and three Olympic gold medals. Blonde, enthusiastic, and beautiful, Henie was the girl-next-door type in hit after box office hit, but her personal life was the opposite of her big-screen image. She was known as a Nazi sympathizer, had a chaotic love life, and alienated family and friends with her abusive behavior. Includes dozens of photographs, mostly drawn from private collections.
