Mehso-so

Re-read this unnecessary sequel so that I can finally finish the series.

I'd forgotten most of what happened and - to be honest - it was so confusing and long winded that I struggled to follow what was going on a lot of the time.

I'd struggle to truly hate any book set in this world (the aesthetic is just so 😍😍😍), but this is for die-hard fans only!

I hope the 3rd book is better, but I'm not holding out much hope...

Bookwomble I'm in the same position. Loved the first book (despite a degree of creepy ickyness), was "meh" about this sequel, and have the third book, because I do like the concept, but haven't mustered up the enthusiasm. I'll be interested to see what you think I'd you manage the final installment. 1y

RaeLovesToRead @Bookwomble I adored #1, this was 😐... I think part of the reason why I haven't finished the series is because then I will have no more of it to read 😢 Also... as long as I don't read it, I don't have to face the possibility of it being rubbish! 🤣 1y
Branwen Is that hot chocolate?! 😋💕 1y
RaeLovesToRead @Branwen You bet!! 😁 1y

Pickpick

Uncertain alliances! A shady cabal! Mysterious alchemy! How could you NOT love this book (and the whole series)? (I'm also more than a little in love with Miss Temple)

Centique This sounds awesome! 6y

And then for today's #17rainbowbooks Indigo and violet books. I don't know... are those three on the left indigo? At least I'm pretty sure the one on the right is violet (though the photo has pinkified it).
My partner and I are the opposite of the gender stereotypes when it comes to colours. He can use words like "magenta", "cyan", and "maroon" with accuracy, and I remain unconvinced that indigo is a real colour.

WordWaller Omg I need that Doctor Who anthology!! 😍😍 8y
Leniverse @WordWaller Oh yes, nice isn't it! 😁It was a Xmas present to our daughter from her father, because I've called dibs on reading Narnia, Harry Potter, and the Hobbit with her. 😂 I need to get the book away from them so I can read it too. I've only managed one and a bit story so far. 8y
