Can't believe this was one of my least popular reads. I loved this. Regardless, it's been an excellent reading year filled with tons of first writers. Mothers, Homegoing, Behold the Dreamers, Here Comes the Sun are a few that pop into mind. Happy New Year everyone! 🍾🥂🍷🎂

Thrilled that Opus and crew are back. Despite reading most Of these on line, Nothing beats reading this huge beautiful collection in hand. Well, maybe if Calvin & Hobbes, Far Side, Foxtrot and Cul de Sac also reappeared, my comic newspaper reading life would be complete.

BarbaraTheBibliophage I am so thrilled the Bloom County strip is back - online and in hand!! 8y

From the National Book Festival in DC in September 2016.

Sorry for the poor quality but I was too busy listening to really focus on picture taking.

ReadingOver50 I used to love these years ago. I have got to get this book. 8y

My new staff rec! ❤️❤️ Bloom County 4eva. And bless Berkeley Breathed for bringing the sexy back with Sith Lord Sexypants 😜😜.

(And for those of you wondering, I can tell you where the original Bloom Boarding House is...it's in my town!)

Audrey I just heard him speak at the national book festival in DC. He picked that house bc it was how he pictured Scout and Jem's house and the town is based Mayfield as well. He told a charming story about how he wrote to Harper Lee as a kid and received a letter from her as an adult imploring him not to stop the series. He was an excellent speaker and took joy in meeting with his fans. 8y

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book. I‘m not even sure it is the full book. I picked up a pulp copy at BEA, and a digital copy, and they do not match. The pulp book says it‘s just a preview. So who knows (yes I know, the publisher does). Doesn‘t matter, I am happy to have Bloom Country back in my life. I love the explanations at the beginning on where Opus went.

I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Berke Breathed so much - I got to meet him at BEA this year - and I am so excited that he has started writing/drawing Bloom County again. And that the new collection is coming out in September! Get ready for Bill and Opus as presidential candidates (again) and the return of Steve Dallas who is the gift that keeps on giving. Plus Cutter John, Milo, Binkley, and a few new characters to tickle your funny bone. (Book 2 of #24in48, 48pp)

Impromptu addition to @24in48 readathon stack - I've been savoring this DRC of new Bloom County strips (out in September!!) and Mr. Breathed has the gift to give us pathos and humor in one panel. 😂😢 #24in48 #24in48readathon #amreading

I'm a fangirl. I admit it. Berkeley Breathed bringing Bloom County back has been just as magical for me as his strips were in the 80s. Political and social commentary mixed in with a bit of philosophy and a big helping of silliness, they make me smile, groan, and laugh out loud. Ready to re-read.

BarbaraTheBibliophage Thanks to NetGalley, Diamond Book Distributors, and IDW Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 8y

I finally got the galley downloaded onto my (aging) iPad. Bless IDW for putting it up on NG and @Liberty for sending up the bat signal yesterday. I'm so jazzed Berke has a new Bloom County collection. Fingers crossed Prairie Lights books him for an event 🍀🍀🍀
