This was dumb. It started strong but the ending was terrible and some of the book was weirdly misogynistic. It was especially disappointing because I‘ve really enjoyed this author in the past.

Third book in the crime/mystery series and the weakest so far, but still with the enough interesting plot that I read it till the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #readaroundtheworld #Iceland
In the picture is my variation (same ingredients but in the mug) of the traditional Icelandic almond cake Möndlukaka.

JenP Yay! Glad you posted a good item! I‘m planning on making Rye Bread but I can‘t find dark rye flour anywhere 7y
JenP But sorry you didn‘t like the book 7y
Simona @JenP If you can‘t find rye flour nearer to you, I will be glad to send you. This flour is very common here and rye bread is very popular. 7y
JenP @Simona that is very kind of you. I think I finally found a store that has it but I will let you know 7y

Stayed up way too late last night finishing this one before I had to return it to the library. I love this series, but this one was not as good to me - nnnnoooottthhiiinnnggg happened! It was very slow and yet somehow the ending seemed rushed. But, here's an adorable kitten that I'm going to be babysitting for a month for my moms (if my old grump cat doesn't hate him too much)

azulaco I'm going to look up the rest of the series. I'm doing an around-the-world reading challenge. I'd like to have an Iceland book. 7y
DebinHawaii Sleeping kitty sweetness! 🐱❤️ 7y
bookwrm526 @azulaco She has a creepy ghost story not in the series called ... that I thought was good, and you might also check out Ragnar Jonasson's Snowblind 7y

This is the third in the series about a lawyer who juggles her parenting issues with her difficult caseload. I wasn't sure about the first book as the premise was gr8 and overall enjoyed with some reservations but im now really enjoying the characters and it was well plotted- thumbs up.

Maybe a bit tenuous but i borrowed this from the library last week, i suspect there is plenty of wind and dust in Iceland. Think this will be last post tonight as have to slice pizzas for me and 15yr old now.

TheKidUpstairs Mmmmm....pizza...... 8y

Love this mystery series! This is the third book and I really enjoy Thora's logical no nonsense approach to the mystery/crime and life in general. Set in Iceland, these books are great reads.

The third book in this mystery series set in Iceland with no nonsense lawyer Thora Gudmundsdottir. Good mysteries and good reads!
