I was drawn in by the cover, which is similar to The Keeper of Lost Things. But unlike Hogan's novel, this didn't draw me in immediately and I was considering to bail several times. I couldn't really connect to the MC. Did not understand why she kept her hobby secret as if it was a state secret. The misunderstanding that kept her from getting together with the love interest was jarring.

I hope the ARC was revised before publishing.

My kids left one lonely peanut whatever-it's-called-in-English for me. BTW, my kids call these snacks elephant bogeys. AND my kids said they were just protecting me from making greasy fingerprints on my Kindle. (they know me and my OCD so well)
