Who would win? Polar Bear vs. Grizzly Bear is a great example of a non-fiction book that would engage young readers. This book was written by Jerry Pallotta and illustrated by Rob Bolster. This book shows the differences and similarities of the two animals and let‘s the reader decide which animal they think has the advantage. #ucflae3414F19
Jewelwinkler For this book I would have my students participate in Partner Reading since they could each reach the different parts for the polar bear and Grizzly bear. The UDL principle I would use is 1.3 (offer alternatives for visual information). I would show my students a videos of the animals to help the students understand them better. 5y
Jewelwinkler The EL strategy I would use number 7 (show students how to use graphic organizers). I would have the students use a venn- diagram to compare and contrast the two animals. 5y
