Fair takes an unflinching look at his actions as an interrogator in Iraq. His discomfort with his own decisions and actions is palpable and you can see the impact of his internal struggle play out in his relationships and personal life. Tough read.

While I haven't been able to fully spend the day in #readathon mode, I did start and finish this one. Not necessarily a fun read...but a good one. It's a blunt, matter-of-fact account of the author's participation in torture while also a meditation on faith, guilt, self-worth, and mortality. Definitely worth a read.
Really liked the way he wrote. Not apologetic or making excuses just as it was.
Back to hauling exclusively from the library since I just did the finances and last month was disastrous. 😰
