“She will not have a chance.'' This sentence is clear foreshadowing. Cinderella will have a chance with the prince, but at this moment she doesn‘t.

I would consider reading this book to elementary students. The only issue is, the story is very dark and hard to see from afar.

Fables
This story is beautifully illustrated with flowers rather than people. This makes the book very unique. I have never seen a book that can personify flowers so well. The details in the ways the flowers moved and danced made this book very interesting to read and look at.

Fun illustrations but I probably wouldn‘t use it in my classroom. Just kind of a strange idea to me. But I can definitely see the appeal of it.

This is an interesting adaptation of cinderella. I am unsure exactly how i feel about it. I think that it is fun but also slightly strange. I loved the use of colors and contrasting background colors. It did bring the illustrations to life. I liked that the flowers were so realistic as well.

This book can definitely be used in a lesson about theme. I also plan to use this book when it comes to reading about “twists on stories”. Overall, I plan on having this in my classroom with older children and when I am having a lesson that correlated with this.

“Cinderlily” was written by David Ellwand in 2003. This book is a twist to the classic tale “Cinderella”. It provides a story about a sad flower that has to do all of the maid work and help it‘s pretty flower stepsisters get ready for the ball. I really enjoyed this book and the twist the authors chose to make with it!

This book is very unique(pub.2003). Although the story is a traditional one, the way in which the illustrations are made make the book unique and charming. I really like the use of the different flowers, kind of educating the readers about different types of flowers and what they look like.
“Her name is Cinderlily, and she's beautiful but shy.“ I like that quote because it sets the tone of the story just like the one we hear about the humans.

Cinderlily by David Ellwand (traditional lit, published 2003) was a take on Cinderella but using lily‘s and plants as the character! I thought it was cute & i enjoyed the illustrations but the font was difficult to read.

I don't think I would recommend this book to children because they would not be interested in the pictures.

This was a very interesting book to read and look at. The fairy tale stays the same as cinderella, but the illustrations are flowers. The illustrations are all natural.
