Tracking the Treasures
Tracking the Treasures | WL Knightly
2 posts | 1 read
Let the web unravel itself and try not to die in the process. After losing her mother in a freak accident, Suede Harris is trying to pick up the pieces and move on with her life. With a history of trouble, including bad relationships, alcohol, and ditching college, finishing up her criminology degree seemed like the best way to start. While catching up back home with summer courses, she joins a study group to keep on track, but when her friends convince her to go geocaching, a simple trip will shake up her entire world. When the only treasure they find is a human bone, it will send her on a mission fueled by personal trauma to figure out what happened to the victim. Will she find the killer, or uncover secrets that have been long buried? Author Note: This is book 1 of a 6 book murder mystery series. The books cannot standalone, so please be warned that you'd need to read all 6 to get the full story. Each book will release the last Thurs of the month! The town in the story is fictional, so the coordinates on the cover do NOT correlate to the murder locations. Hope you love the story.

Is this the last post about #BookSpin tracking for 2022?? I make no promises 😂 Once again, all of you have been SO helpful and I really appreciate it!!! Here is Google Form v.3 - https://forms.gle/MYw8yZiYZd1Voe6z7 - this combines the checklist & the short answer into one haha From reading everyone's comments, my idea is that you can fill in the Spin titles/authors as they are drawn, then go back & check off the ones you actually finish. ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) So my big question for this one - is this too complicated? (I have a tendency to overcomplicate things; it's a hobby haha)

Also, if you feel like it, it would be amazing if a few of you could just fill in random stuff. That way, I can see how the info would translate into a spreadsheet on the back end.

I'm totally here for comments & critique - you all have been genuinely so helpful and I really appreciate it!!!

Bookwormjillk Just did a test for you. One thing I noticed is that you can check you finished bookspin but then fill in for double spin. Not sure how you‘ll use it on the backend or if it even matters. 3y
Soubhiville I got silly with one. I think this is smart, a good way for folks to remember what their sound were if they don‘t finish in the correct month. If you care you may want to ask that people use or leave off the @ in the Litsy handle, as most swap forms do. Don‘t know if that matters to you at all. 3y

MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm I‘m late to the party on this, but I‘d say I don‘t mind this form at all. I can see how accessing this at the end of the year would hugely simplify your life and am all for that! 3y
Soubhiville I do not find it too complicated. It might make it slightly easier for users if you don‘t ask for author, just for title. A bit less typing. 3y
Amandajoy I thought is was easy to use. Some people specify whether or not they want the @ with your Litsy handle - that‘s the only thing I would change. 3y
SeaToSkyes I like this form! I'm hoping to get back onto the #BookSpin wagon next year 3y
Daisey I like the combined form a lot in that it lets us track the books that are chosen and then completed separately. If I kept up with it monthly that would save me the searching for numbers I‘ve had to do a few times this year. 3y
Librarybelle I think it looks straightforward and easy to use! In the end, it‘s whatever is easiest for you and for your needs. Any participants (myself included) will adapt to whatever you need from us! 3y

kimmypete1 Love it! ❤ ❤ ❤ 3y
HeyT Looks good! 3y
CoffeeNBooks It looks great! 3y
sprainedbrain Love this! I did a sample for you and it works great. 3y
Mollyanna It looks great! As @Librarybelle said, we will adapt. Whatever makes it easier for you. I love this challenge. 3y
JamieArc I like this! It‘s simple. Seems like it would make things a lot easier for you! 3y
rabbitprincess I like it! And excellent idea to state “completed or DNF‘d”! I‘ll test out the form later on my computer (typing on my iPad is a pain haha) 3y
AmyK1 I like this one but I also agree with @Librarybelle We will be good with whatever works for you. 3y
swynn 👍 3y
CaitZ I like this as long as it's easy for you. It was simple to fill in from my phone. 3y
IndoorDame Looks great! 3y
BookDadGirlDad This is easy to fill out. I did it for a test run. Is it your intent to do this monthly, yearly, or leave it to us? 3y
BookmarkTavern Love it! If it works well for you, I vote this one! 👍🏻👍🏻 3y
MeganAnn This works beautifully from our end! I basically filled out the whole year for 2020 (minus December) so you could see how those translate to your back end spreadsheet. Took me about 10 minutes and that‘s mostly because I had to flip back through my journal and find the right titles for each month which took longer than actually typing them in. Also got the email in my inbox which took me right back to my form if I needed to make edits. ❤️✔️ 3y
Deblovestoread If it works for you, it works for me 😀 3y
Bookzombie I filled it out for the test, except I didn‘t have the authors on my notes. I will fix that if you want us to fill it out for real. It‘s handy to be able to put what our picks were for the month as we go along. Ultimately I want you to do what works for you though. 💗 3y
Larkken Oh man, I totally commented on@the first post before I saw that you had posted an update 😂 looks good to me! I‘ll put in some random data tonight to play with it 🤘🏻 (edited) 3y
TheAromaofBooks @BookDadGirlDad - My idea is that participants can update their own form throughout the year, but would need to have all their info locked in by the end of the year. Then I would only need to pull the information once for my giveaway!! 3y
rockpools Only just saw this - works beautifully for me (my favourite of the 3). I have filled it with random rubbish, though… And totally happy with whichever works for you. 3y
Singout Filled it in: I hope it works! Keep us posted! Are we supposed to find our own list when we click on the above link, though? When I click on it I just get taken back to another blank form. (That was what confused me about the Africa Reads form too.)
Never mind: I just figured out that I can access it through the email I got.
(edited) 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Singout - Yes, you can edit your own list via the email link. This form is a prototype for 2022's #BookSpin challenge. For the rest of this year, I'll still be tracking everyone's books manually. But next year I am going to try having everyone track their own & let me know at the end of the year what they've read!! 3y
