I‘m still I love with this world and the characters. Alex is someone who constantly has to fight for every victory and level up which doesn‘t change in this one. Things in the overarching plot line got very interesting so it‘s good I already have the next one.

Had a really great reading week. Managed to finish four books with three part of a challenge I'm doing and one to catch up with a series.
#WeeklyForecast
My goal for the week is to finish Fallen and then move on to finish my library stack. After that I'll try and finish up the Alex Verus series.
The 10th in Benedict Jacka‘s ALEX VERUS urban fantasy series overcomes a clunky and repetitive first half to really take off once Verus makes a momentous decision that provides a real game changer and I‘m looking forward to seeing how it plays out in the last 2 books. The action scenes are fast-paced and exciting, I enjoyed an old character‘s return, mourned another‘s inevitable departure and still care what happens to Verus and his friends.
Alex‘s past choices come to a crushing crescendo in Fallen & the repercussions are immense!! The new direction that the plot takes is quite surprising but we all knew that at some point Alex was going to have to set aside his neutral stance. What pushed Alex into setting aside his position of neutrality was the heart of this story & not only was it shocking but it created an atmosphere filled with tension because there is truly no good outcome.
