Crystal Crowned (Air Awakens Series Book 5)
Crystal Crowned (Air Awakens Series Book 5) | Elise Kova
14 posts | 29 read | 18 to read
Long live Solaris. One bloodthirsty ruler has been overthrown by another, casting the shadow of death over the Solaris Empire. Vhalla Yarl stands upon the stage of fate, prepared to do battle one final time. Fragile alliances will be tested and new bonds will be formed as the world is reshaped. She fights as the champion of peace, but when the night is darkest will she be able to pay the price of a new dawn? About the Author Elise Kova has always had a profound love of fantastical worlds. Somehow, she managed to focus on the "real world" long enough to graduate with a Master's in Business Administration before crawling back under her favorite writing blanket to conceptualize her next magic system. She currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, and when she's not writing can be found playing video games, watching anime, or talking with readers on social media. She is the author of the Air Awakens Series as well as the upcoming Loom Saga (Keymaster, 2016).

The final book of the series. The pacing was slower than I liked, but Vhalla‘s character really came into her own. Overall it was a good ending for the series.

After how most of the series went, I'm glad this ended the way it did. It was a little slow in parts but I overall enjoyed every part of this series. #kindle #kindleunlimited #yafantasy #fantasy

I do not want this series to end. I love Aldrik and Vhalla. I love their story, I love what they accomplish together, while also being so dang strong apart.

I think this book wrapped the series up quite nicely and set the path for the Vortex Visions series which follows their child. I've read the 1st book to that series awhile ago, before even Air Awakens, so I may need a refresher read before going into the 2nd.

I officially declare that Aldrik is my book husband. He is now mine. Move aside Vhalla. 😁😅

A pretty good ending to the series, and it does a lot to repair the previous installment. Unfortunately, Kova needed to wrap up the story more than she felt she needed to leave the characters in a good place, and this installment is almost entirely story and very little character development. That being said, I loved this series and would recommend it- particularly the first 3 books!

A wonderful end to the series. The whole series was amazing, I flew through it in less than a week. Reminds me why I love high fantasy.

I'm confused with people not liking how this series ends. Its consistent with the series as a whole and everything is wrapped up. I thought it was interesting having Val being the emotionally eradic one for once in the book. This just felt like an evening out of the series for all the characters and plot. I've def read far more stupid endings *looks at Mockingjay* I'm actually REALLY excited to read the spin-off and see how their kids grow up.

StaceyKondla Elise Kova was just in Calgary, Alberta for a book launch with Danielle Jensen - I‘ve not read any of her work and look forward to checking her out 6y

I just binge read all 5 books in this series in a week and its hands down one of the best High Fantasy series I've read in a very long time! If you like books by Maria V. Snyder, Rae Carson, and Leigh Bardugo you NEED to check this series out!!!!
