Runaways by Rainbow Rowell Vol. 4: But You Can't Hide
Runaways by Rainbow Rowell Vol. 4: But You Can't Hide | Rainbow Rowell
6 posts | 8 read | 2 to read
The Runaways survived the events of "That was Yesterday" - but the fallout from that epic adventure is still very much being felt, and the teen team is in disarray! Alex Wilder walks away from the Runaways - but will someone actually go with him?! In the aftermath, the team tries to take stock. There's plenty of rebuilding to do, both metaphorical and literal, but the kids are exhausted, heartbroken and confused. Are the Runaways up for these major repairs, or will the team - and their dreams - crumble before their eyes? Collecting Runaways #19-24

I‘ve been in a bit of a funk, so it was mostly rereads and graphic novels this month. 📚

Bookzombie I hope your funk passes, but nothing wrong with rereads and GNs. 🙂 5y
LazyOwl Nothing wrong with that 5y

This one was really good! The characters were dealing with lots of issues in a meaningful way. I just wish it didn‘t end on a cliffhanger.

I think I like the revival over the original. 😅
There's a running subplot with my favorite character, Karolina, who struggles with anxiety and self esteem issues- I love that this is being covered in graphic novels and that it's so realistic.

#weeklyforecast:

As a mood reader, I always need several options on hand.

Physical library holds include the newest Runaways and Seven Deadly Shadows.

Kindle and Libby ebooks include Deadly Summer and The Lost History of Dreams.

@Cinfhen

BookishMe I think i have outdone myself as a mood / whimsy reader with the number of current reads ;p 5y
SLibrarian5 @BookishMe I used to just read one book at a time, but I may need to change that, based on my reading mood! 😅 5y

I..I had several digital issues from this trade, and then I bought the graphic novel, like a spendthrift. Cause it was there, cause it was so good, because characters dealt with issues I‘ve always wondered about. Like, how do superheroes find crime anyway?
