Jessie Mihalik became an auto-buy author for me before her first novel was ever published (thank you, Ilona Andrews). This novella immediately follows The Queen‘s Triumph and shows Samara digging into the court intrigues of the Kos Empire. I wish it had been a full-length novel! Anyone else leaning towards shorter reads lately?

Enjoyed this longer novella/short book 2 (approximately 200 pages), not unexpected since I liked the first. This story continues directly after book 1, and satisfied a penchant for reading about a kickass woman. 4/5
