Becky was finally more mature and I liked her in this installment. Becky's mother & Janice have usually been much more fun so it was a bit disappointing in this one.

I was so annoyed with Tarkie & Graham who couldn't tell what they were doing or where they were. I think the meaning was to keep this somehow mysterious but I was only annoyed. I never understood their reason not to tell. But overall this one was a light adventure.

it suddenly hits me: I‘m scared. Deep down, I‘m scared I‘m going to screw up even more. Some people lose their nerve for riding or skiing or driving; well, I‘ve lost my nerve for life.

The final installment in the series. Other than the Christmas book, which I‘ll probably save to read in December. This was not my favorite plot of all the books but it was an interesting deeper dive into the truer complexities of the characters. It was a nice way to round it out and end it without completely wrapping it up in a pretty predictable bow. Overall I enjoyed reading this series and it kept my attention fully.

3.5 ⭐️ Not my favourite book in the series, as it took awhile for the book to find some sort of momentum. It was decent. #2020 #fiction #shopaholicseries #contemporary #bookreview #bookstagram #readnosedreindeer #winter2020

Sad to see this series end. Wasn't always a fan of Becky in this series, her impulsive buying and compulsive lying had me stressed out, but her growth throughout had me loving her by the end.

So I managed to avoid buying books the first two months of the year but it is my birth month so I knew I was going to have to buy myself a few presents. After a stressful week my email inbox looks like this (actually this picture cuts off a few emails). I am feeling both guilty and excited and I have still have a couple Christmas gift cards left to spend. I need a bigger apartment for more room for my books.

Tamra Very exciting though! 7y
EvieBee I love clicking! But those emails are bummers, right?! Had too much Rumchata the other night and went click crazy after a solid book ban. Sigh. 7y
Jas16 @Tamra I know! I keep telling myself that there are worse habits to have. 7y

Love me some Sophie Kinsella. Didn't expect another Shopaholic, but I am happy I've received it.

I usually love everything by Kinsella but this one did not follow the typical path of her previous books. There were parts that were sort of sad and I couldn't lose myself in the shopping frenzy as in prior books. She almost was trying to write a mystery and it did not work.

Although I have loved the Shopaholic series from the start, Kinsella's latest Becky story was just okay. The plot was very thin, but it did make for good 'fluff' reading for summertime.

WanderingBookaneer I like Kinsella's other books, but I've never liked the Shopaholic series. 8y
asiriusreader @JaimitaPR yeah, this series is a bit of a holdover from my youth--picked up confessions of a shopaholic in high school and adored it. I think if I were still in high school, I may have enjoyed this one a lot more! 😊 8y
