My#pinkbooks pick is Neon Angels: Memoir of a Runaway. This book is a great behind the scenes look at the runaways Rose to fame from Cherie's point of view. This is one of the few times where I saw the movie inspired by the book first and then ran out and bought the book. 😀

This book is heartbreaking and inspiring.
No wonder I keep coming back to it.

Today's mood.

I read the revised version of this book, in the afterward she said she went back and added things she couldn't say in 1989 and brought it up to present time (I suspect that was a few pages at the end that didn't really flesh out much of that time. It was interesting, but it jumped back and forth a lot and I found it a little difficult to figure out where she was in time even within a chapter. Some truly horrible things happened to her.

Omg SO good!!!!! Gives you inside info you would have never known or never would have guessed happened in Cherie Currie's life before and after the band. The Runaways shaped history for them to be the first all girl rock band in the mid 70s is just awesome.
