I couldn't put this one down. It wasn't perfect, but it was totally absorbing, and I almost stayed up all night reading it. Loved the art, loved the story! #comics #graphicnovels

I picked up this graphic novel purely because it looks like a cassette tape. 😋 The idea isn't the most original (6 people start as strangers & the chapters tick down to one act of violence that will unite them) but it's still a neat trick to watch it unfold. I felt pretty meh toward the main storyline following a rock star in a midlife crisis, but there's a very cool depiction of a downward spiral into mental illness in one of his obsessive fans.
I picked this up because I am a big fan of the author's podcast, but did not know what to expect. To my delight, it was quite remarkable. The interwoven stories build at a pace that makes it hard to put down, while the details and innovations in the art made me want to savor each page.
