#JoyousJanuary went well for me! I finished all my planned books, with the exception of The Ballerinas… which I‘m undecided if I‘m going to finish or DNF. 😕

Aside from the tagged book which was TERRIBLE, the remainder of my picks were all enjoyable. I had a blast! Thanks @Andrew65

A solid “So-So”. Yes, you somehow can put your finger on what is being “wrong” in this story because the title is “A perfect Lie” but then still, somewhere in the middle, tiny doubts on your “safe forecast” arise. 😉 The end was a bit too weak for me and I didn‘t believe how fast some convictions are changed but I felt the authenticity of Hannah‘s professional situation. Maybe because I‘m a long-distance-relationship soulmate.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a hard time staying with this one at first. It was pretty predictable about halfway through, but I stuck with it!

This was a cracking good read. Hannah is waiting for her husband Mark to return from a business trip, and when he doesn‘t arrive at Heathrow as scheduled it starts an avalanche of revelations for the new bride. This was a twisty, propulsive, well-written page-turner. I love this kind of book, but they generally start to fall apart or become ridiculous for me at some point. This one did not. I read until my eyes burned.

This was a good suspense book. It had some interesting twists and played well off of the idea of how much you don‘t know about the person you marry. Parts were a bit predictable and the ending felt a little rushed, but overall it was a quick read that definitely was captivating the whole way through.

I found these #flowers on covers of books on my Kindle. A benefit of these challenges is finding books I'd forgotten I have! I think I need to read the tagged book soon. It sounds good and I don't remember getting it. #ReadingResolutions @Jess7

This book was addictive, it starts bang in the middle of drama, Hannah is waiting for her husband at the airport but it turn out he was never on the flight. From there is one twist after turn, there were points where I though I‘d guessed the outcome but I hadn‘t, or I half had. I was really kept guessing. Fab thriller.

Not a thriller for me. Might not even lable this under thrillers sonce the thrillin part was mostly just the 80 last pages of the book

EllieDottie I also really disliked this book!! 7y

I haven't had a great reading summer, but that hasn't stopped me from buying books.

I really hate very few books but I wanted to pick one I haven't posted on before! I really didn't like this book, I found the plot laborious and the characters flat. I only finished it because it was the only book I had with me on a long plane ride! But the cover is pretty cool right?! #hated #sizzlinsummerbooks

It's too hot to want to spend much time outside today, which is a perfect reason to curl up with a book. Just started this one, but I'm liking it so far.

...now that she knew he could lie like this, lie and keep lying even when she begged for the truth, one story after another, all plausible, all perfectly woven until she picked at the one semi-loose thread and they unravelled in her hands 🌀

I have avoided suspense/thriller for a while, but I got sucked in after reading #LucieWhitehouse #BeforeWeMet. Grabbed these on my way out of the library...yep, I still go to the library

⭐️⭐️⭐️ A good read, but wasn't my favorite mystery/suspense.
