This middle-grade novel about trying our best in the face of failure and the messy nature of relationships isn't perfect (the lead-up to the ending is especially clunky) but it's a quick, enjoyable read. It's set in a kind of bizarro, Shakespeare-infused Concord, MA, and I have an affinity for stories set in places I know. I am really looking forward to trying the recipes at the back of the book! This is another from Build Your Library curriculum.
