This book is full of crazy adventures after another. It keeps you on your toes. I think it is a great concept and makes school less like a place just to learn.

This book is another great start to a series and also for young readers who are starting to read chapter books. It very enjoyable.

My Teacher is an Alien is about three students who discover their teacher is an alien with motives to capture 5 students to take back to his spaceship. The students suspect that their “teacher” is plotting an alien invasion and try to find ways to stop him. One character, Susan, discovers Mr. Smith/Broxholm doesn‘t like music and the students use this to their advantage

I haven't the foggiest idea what my first Sci Fi book was for the #RRSciFiMonth prompt, but this series was my favorite when I was a kid. I started reading them in the fourth grade. So it's pretty close to my first.

I'm not sure the status of kids books these days, but I continue to find that my favorites are still quite good! Also glad I found a copy with the original cover ☺️ #tbt

Another one of my #childhoodfavorites! I liked the old cover much better, probably biased 😆. Anyway, looovvved this series when I was a kid. Came in with my Scholastic orders ☺️. Do they still have that program in schools? A shame if they don't.

I'm a designer and have a habit of choosing things based on the packaging. If a books cover is ugly, it probably won't catch my attention unless I've heard something about it. This is the best I could do, a leftover from my husband's collection of books he read as a child.

Uh oh, almost time to pack! Do you think I bought enough books? Some for me, some for my one year old, and some for my grade 3 class in China! Hope they all fit!

Today I'm presenting at a teaching conference. Looks like I'll have no time to read 😢. There should be laws against taking away a person's reading time.
