Loved this thriller! Just the right amount of build up and solid twists (some slightly predictable and others definitely not). A great way to spend a lazy sunday! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great book! I love the flawed protagonist! Rory, probably has Asperger‘s Syndrome and reconstructs dolls to help with her anxiety! She‘s also an expert at cold cases! So many mysteries that eventually tie together.
Highly recommend! 💜💜💜

This is the first book of a new series. Rory helps police solve cold cases. When her father dies, she finds a case that ends up being connected to the cold case shes working on. Btw, Rory has a few quirks that make her "different". This book captured me from the first page.
The story alternates chapters from 1979 to 2019 in Chicago which focuses on a convicted serial killer known as The Thief. The main character, Rory Moore, is a forensic reconstructionist. She is a quirky woman who has struggled for years to use her uniqueness to her advantage professionally. The past and present collide as she learns more about The Thief and his connection to her father. This is one wild story which you won‘t want to put down.
Summer of 1979 5 Chicago women are missing. Angela Mitchell went missing after she unmasked killer known as The Thief. Rory Moore, 2019 takes over the case. Rory has OCD and reconstructs crime scene details others fail to see. Rory‘s cryptic files found in her father‘s law office suggests that there is more to this case. Terrifying truths start to emerge. Page-turner with twists & turns & a surprise ending. Looking forward to next book. recommend

I couldn‘t stop myself from inhaling the pages of this breath-taking thriller. SOME CHOOSE DARKNESS grabbed me on page one and didn‘t let go until the last page was turned. The story was simply mesmerizing... https://www.bluestockingreviews.com/blog/some-choose-darkness
