Bluebird I had a great reading month! My fav was Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society, but only by a small margin. Runner ups were Tom Lake, Chain-Gang All Stars, Witness for the Prosecution. 😀. I‘m looking forward to reading North Woods and Whalebone Theater soon (edited) 14mo
Cinfhen @Bluebird since I‘ve read and loved Tom Lake & All Stars I probably need to read Witness for the Prosecution 🤓 and I agree Potato Peel Pie was lovely 14mo
Bluebird It‘s a short read, but packs a punch 😀 14mo

My September reads were my favorite overall batch of books for the year, so far. It felt weird being in a reading slump for so much of the year, but I‘m glad to be in the other side of it now! 📚

A little late posting, but these were my books for September. I got in a good horror/ mystery crop in for Halloween in advance. Saving Ruby King was my favorite, although that was much more than a thriller. I am looking forward to more spooky October books. 🎃

With my health issues over September and a very intensive month at school, really surprised that I had read more books and pages than in the same month last year.

Strongly strongly recommend these three books, but only read the Chris Carter book / series if you like gritty murder books.

Tove_Reads Oh no, hope you‘re doing better now! Totally missed that (very busy right now). Will I like C.C.? 5y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads if you like gritty crime fiction you will love his books, I really love them and the characters and the pacy plot, plus the psychological aspect. One of my favourite is detective series. 5y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Unfortunately doctors having trouble sorting out acid issues. Certainly got gastritis, and thought I had gall stones. Also issue with liver at moment which might be causing my pains. Living on grilled chicken and salad. As a result lost a lot of weight, but needed to lose some. 5y

Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Thanks, ongoing health problems that have been ongoing since mid July. Back at doctors tomorrow for results of yet another blood test. Hoping it will show the liver readings continuing to improve from abnormal reading. Know not got ulcer or stomach cancer, no gall stones, although doctor thinks have passed one. Only diagnosis so far is gastritis, and still issues with acid. 🤞 5y
TheBookHippie Ugh!!!!!! So frustrating!!! Sending healing vibes!!! 5y

Lindy Nice variety! 5y
TheSpineView Way to go! 5y
Gezemice Very nice! We both read the Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs in September and we did not even coordinate... 5y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Gezemice My guess, we both got it on the same audible deal-of-The-day sale, so audible coordinated us. 😁 5y

I only got in 10 books this month (mostly because I spent three weeks on Middlegame) but four of them were 5⭐ and some of the best I've read all year!

Middlegame was just such a standout - I can't say enough good things about it.

Not so great with stats:
Goodreads - 131/100
#booked2019 - 0/6 (total 18/24)
#litsyatoz - 0/26 (total 24/26)

It‘s going to be a catch-up Fall for me!

Finish up a bunch of series, keep up with my reading groups, make room for a few anticipated new releases, work on some of my challenges...that‘s my goal!

Well that and stay away from political reads for a bit....let‘s just say mental health/for-fun-reads are what‘s on the agenda!

Let‘s see how many I can work through before the end of fall! 🤞😉🙈🤪

ravenlee Looks great! I‘m working on some of those myself, specifically the Briggs and Andrews series. 5y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @ravenlee I‘ve got the last one in each of those series to read....then I have another series by Andrews that I‘m a bit further behind on, The Innkeeper Chronicles... maybe I‘ll get to that one before the end of the year. 🤞 5y
Gezemice Great objectives. I have been staying away from politics already. Enjoy the Bobiverse - so much fun! 5y
