Mehso-so

It‘s hard to write a fair review when I disliked the audiobook narration so much. I have an ARC of book 4 and it doesn‘t sound like they can be read out of order. I struggled to follow the different storylines, and while I didn‘t figure out the whodunnit, which is usually good, I didn‘t like the answer when it was revealed. Fingers crossed that book 2 will be better.

I've read a lot of meh books lately. Glad Trace of Evil was thrilling for me all the way through. Could not put it down! #24B4Monday #NetGalley

I've only clocked 5 hours in the #24B4Monday, so I'm a bit behind, but I want to read a lot this weekend to catch up on some ARCs. Also I love my new coffee mug! Cant wait for Jenny Lawson's bookstore to open up!

A terrific small town thriller set in a fictitious town based on Salem. Creepy and surprising.

Overall I really enjoyed Trace of Evil. The main character, Natalie Lockhart, is strong, brave, independent and overall very likable. The plot was interesting and fast paced. The twist at the end (because there's always a twist) was not predictable and really elevated the story. I was very entertained while reading this novel, the story was solid, the cover is beautiful (love the colors and typography) and I would definitely recommend this book.

This is the first novel I‘ve read by this author but it certainly won‘t be my last. Since Goodreads notes that this is the first in a series, I am excited to see what the future holds for the protagonist! If you‘ve grown weary of predictable narratives, as I have, I do believe you will find Trace of Evil to be a refreshing change of pace!
