On a weeks break in West Cork. Just finished The Blunderer! Very good, similar feel to Strangers on a Train.
Murder and psychological torment... I‘ll be sad when I‘ve read all her books .. that won‘t be for awhile yet though 👍🏻😁

Audible plus have so many great books included with membership now. I‘m really enjoying this one, I love her writing and really want to read all of her work 😊
A psychological thriller that was more domestic than action packed, I loved the intricacy of the motivations here and how the darkness gathers slowly. Bland, ordinary people getting caught up in a plot they‘d daydreamed but never thought would happen is a wonderful theme for a slow build crime novel.

Aside from the clunky title, this was an amazingly disturbing portrayal of psychopathy in its dissection of the parallel situations of two men. One man has killed his wife, while the other fantasizes about killing his while becoming obsessed with the other wife‘s murder case, with terrible consequences for all.
Awkward title, great story. The energy of talented Mr Ripley and strangers on a train. She was a master of the genre.
Love her writing, this book just sucks you in. People say she was an awful person but if I was a lesbian born in Texas in the 20's who suffered from depression (amongst many other things) I might be misunderstood as awful too.
I finished "The Blunderer" while coloring (hence the #audiocoloring pic) and I am on such a Patricia Highsmith kick. She was pretty much a garbage person, but maybe that's why her writing about psychopaths is so precise and riveting. Her novels don't have plot twists and I hesitate to call them mysteries. They are in-depth deconstructions of the psychopathic mind.
Started another Patricia Highsmith on audio today. I now want to read her entire canon. Also did some #audiocoloring. And hung out with this super sleepy cat!
