I decided to throw in a nonfiction read about art. I found this one to be a very good read if you're not a well read art nonfiction reader. Plenty of information. I perhaps loved this read due to the fact I've seen many of these artists works and have visited some of the locations that were inspirational for these people.

I really liked this. It's about the art scene in Paris during the first decade of the 1900s. It talks about Picasso and Matisse but also a ton of my other favorites like Modigliani, Rousseau, Marie Laurencin, Braque, and others like the Steins, Alice B Tolkas, and Daghliev and the Ballets Russes. If you're into art, this gets my recommendation. š’–š“šˇØš‡«š‡·

I'm visiting a friend in Canberra this weekend. This morning we went to the Matisse and Picasso exhibition at the National Gallery. I had to buy a copy of the tagged book in the gift shop - it is about them and other artists in Paris between 1900 and 1910. The Matisse painting is for the #Catherbuddyread group - an example of the art she was emulating in The Professor's House. And the cute little poodle is my friend's dog Dash.
