Do Penguins Have Knees?
Do Penguins Have Knees? | David Feldman

Ponder, if you will What happens to your Social Security number when you die? Why are peanuts listed as an ingredient in plain M&Ms? Why is Barbie's hair made out of nylon, but Ken's hair is plastic? What makes up the ever-mysterious "new-car smell"? Pop-culture guru David Feldman demystifies these topics and so much more in Do Penguins Have Knees? -- the unchallenged source of answers to civilization's most perplexing questions. Part of the Imponderables series, Do Penguins Have Knees? arms readers with the knowledge about everyday life that encyclopedias, dictionaries, and almanacs just don't have. And think about it, where else are you going to get to the bottom of how beer was kept cold in the Old West?

This is a fun, if a bit dated in places (questions about cassette tape recorders, anyone?) book of questions and answers that tries to be funny in places and sometimes succeeds. It‘s not one I would say run out and buy, but if you happen to see it in a LFL, it‘s worth picking up. (And, spoiler alert, yes, they do! 🐧)

leah152 Mystery solved, thanks lol! 😊🐧 3y

Another book from a little free library that I decided to read. It was good and informative with answers to questions like “why are magazine labels upside down“. Some topics were very interesting, some not so much, a lot of them dated but that's only my fault for reading it 30 years after being published in 1991. Overall I enjoyed it and released it in another little free library.
Most important, this read help me get a #BookSpinBingo.
