His touch spirals through me, warm and sweet, wicked and hot. I shouldnt trust him. I shouldnt tell him my secrets. But how do I not when he is the reason I breathe? He is what I need. At the young age of eighteen, tragedy and a dark secret force Lara to flee all she has known and loved to start a new life. Now years later, with a new identity as Amy, shes finally dared to believe she is forgotteneven if she cannot forget. But just when she lets her guard down, the ghosts of her past are quick to punish her, forcing her back on the run. On a plane, struggling to face the devastation of losing everything again and starting over, Amy meets Liam Stone, a darkly entrancing recluse billionaire, who is also a brilliant, and famous, prodigy architect. A man who knows what he wants and goes after it. And what he wants is Amy. Refusing to take no as an answer, he sweeps her into a passionate affair, pushing her to her erotic limits. He wants to possess her. He makes her want to be possessed. Liam demands everything from her, accepting nothing less. But what if she is too devastated by tragedy to know when he wants more than she should give?

Pickpick

The story is intriguing, and it‘s definitely racy at times, but even if I were willing to look past a love interest whose motto appears to be, “No doesn‘t really mean no, so I‘ll just make you do what I want,” it never gets quite to the point where you can‘t wait to see what happens next (and that‘s perhaps a good thing, because in a lot of cases with this book, you never actually find out).

Looking for recs for fun escapist reading—light and fun. I enjoy SF, fantasy, romance (most subgenres but historical, contemporary, paranormal are faves) and mystery—tho my preference in mystery is procedural and thrillers over cozy so maybe not so much right now). Nothing tragic or gritty; light NF okay too. And something that will suck me right in because my concentration sucks right now too. Thanks in advance, I know you guys will come thru!

TEArificbooks I like Kerrlyn Sparks Embraced series, a fantasy world with romance. It sweeps you away. The world she built reviles MiddleEarth amd Westeros. 6y
cathysaid Three Pines Series by Louise Penny 6y
Dragon Another favourite 6y
ColleenIsReading Thanks for the recs! I have A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet and a Kerrilyn Sparks book in my kindle stash so I will move them to the top 6y
