It snowed last night, so I needed something warm and satisfying. These Savoury Squirrel Bakes hit just right. ❤️

🍓 I would sell my soul to attend a Redwall Abbey feast from the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. Those woodland creatures sure know how to throw a party! 😁
🍓 Daenarys Targaryen! It would be an honor to be host to the Mother of Dragons and I'd live to listen to all her stories!
🍓 I actually did own the Redwall Cookbook at one point! The shrimp and hotroot soup is one I still make to this day! So yummy!
Hope you‘re feeling hungry! 🥞
1. Literally any feast from the Redwall series. Everything sounds so delicious!
2. Miss Marple, murder mysteries would make for an interesting dinner conversation.
3. I own several. 😂 The Hobbit, the Book Lover‘s Cookbook, Harry Potter, Roald Dahl.
#SundayFunday Have a delicious day, and remember to tag me!
An excellent, warm, filling meal when it‘s too darn cold outside. Roasted root vegetables (parsnips, carrots, and rutabaga) and baked potatoes. Yummy! (Except the rutabaga, that thing‘s weird)

#TeamSlaughter #Scarathlon @Clwojick 5 points for the recipe + 20 for the attempt (221 total)
1. Roughly once a week. Not much variation on breakfast or lunch. Dinner is usually a crapshoot #bachelorlife
2. Thousand island. French in a pinch
3. Cook. I haven't made many attempts at baking
4. If I'm being good, one cookie with breakfast, and a piece of dark chocolate or some non-dairy ice cream at night
5. Redwall

#feistyfeb Day 6: #anthropomorphiccharacters I loved the Redwall books as a kid, even threw a themed birthday party for which I used The Redwall Cookbook!
Day 7. Any fan of Redwall knows that Brian Jacques described feasts for pages. And they always sounded fantastic. Remember Summer Strawberry Fizz? Shrimp 'n' Hotroot Soup? Mole's Favorite Deeper'n'Ever Turnip'n'Tater'n'Beetroot Pie? Well, they are all here and MORE!! Plus everything is broken down by seasons, and it is just enchanting.

I love his explanation of why the food features so prominently in his books. Growing up during WW2 and food rationing, and also being disappointed that books always seemed to skip the description of food when they described feasts.
