I think I‘m going to have to pass on this one. I‘m not sure if it‘s my mood or the book, but I keep speeding up the audiobook because I just want to be done. At 1.6x speed, I still have more than 6 hours to go and I just…no. I want to know who is sending Riley the mysterious notes and photos, but not enough to slog through the drama with her brother or the secondary romance plot. Moving on…💃🏻

Pardon my grumpy moment - consider this a heads up if you consider listening to this one - the digital recording comes directly from original audio CDs. The story keeps getting interrupted with “end of disc X” “beginning of disc X”. 😡. :sigh:

I liked this but there wasn't much mystery. The reader gathers more info thru out but the basic scenario was pretty clear from the start. This was simply the MC telling us, in her own words & at too much length, how she came to discover some shocking truths. Bottom line: I liked Ridley & her love interest & I liked the story BUT it would have benefited from being shorter. She took too long to figure stuff out & there were too many flashbacks.

I just started reading this and I was instantly hooked! No complaints so far (:

I just had to share my #bookhaul from the Columbus Day library sale! A total of 14 books including 8 hardcovers for an unbelievable $6! I was giddy! Any you can recommend? Some of the authors are Litsy finds. I'll post day 2 later. 😉
