Not really about the dark web where illegal shit goes on but more about websites that fuel hate and trolls on easily accessible websites.

Mehso-so

A good survey of the interesting and disturbing subcultures of the Internet - hacking, trolling, and worse... Bartlett describes people on the fringe of society & some of whom seem seriously disturbed, but there are positives sides too and he doesn't judge either way.

tpixie How's breathing in Hong Kong? Do you have to wear a mask 😷 8y
Abailliekaras @tpixie no it's fine. But always happy to return to Australia and breathe in the fresh air! 😉 8y
tpixie @Abailliekaras THX! I've always wondered- I see pictures of the Chinese wearing masks and they sometimes wear them here in USA 8y
tpixie @Abailliekaras I would love to visit Hong Kong and Australia!! Both exotic to my Kansas! Bucket List!! 8y
monkeygirlsmama @tpixie Most people here and in the mainland wear the face masks nowadays not so much to keep out pollution, but to prevent germs. It became a big deal after the bird flu epidemic several years ago. 8y
monkeygirlsmama @Abailliekaras You live in HK or visiting? I grew up in HK, and live in Southern China. Though we go back and forth to HK. 8y
tpixie @monkeygirlsmama that makes since! Yes the bird flu 😷 was bad!! Thx! 8y
Abailliekaras @monkeygirlsmama just visiting but my husband works here so we go back and forth regularly! 😊 8y

First nonfiction of 2017. Inspired by completing season one of Mr. Robot. Very informative, and lots to chew on. At times inspiring and disturbing, even simultaneously.

I am on a roll today. Blame it on the snow.

minkyb I keep meaning to watch The Robot. 8y
Kerouacthedog @minkyb IT'S SO GOOD. 8y
