This one is a bit of a head scratcher In the begining I was really enjoying it, but the more absurd it got the more it seemed to true to current life. It‘s an election year and there are 2 real candidates and 2 joke candidates. The Corn Dog Girl winds up being president due to people not wanting to vote for the standard politicians who are just in everyone's pockets. They reads, fake, but also so very real. ⬇

It's insane to me that this feels like real life. Like absurd, yes, but still. Definitely an interesting and horrifying world created here with just the right amount of ridiculous.

This book seems especially relevant in this day and age. Big corporations run the government and all they care about is profit. Good thing Corndog girl is here to turn things around!

Really fun graphic novel. I am super into the world it‘s building.

Not my thing at all. Definite satire but way too heavy-handed in order to get its point across. It also jumped around so much and moved from idea to idea so quickly, there wasn't time to unpack the points the story was trying to make. It felt disjointed, frenetic, and lacked a tight focus.

I call this a pick only if you are looking for just stupid funny, poking fun at corporate America, and craziness.

Far too realistic.

Finishing up this comic while cooking some pasta for tonight's dinner. A lighter version of fettuccine alfredo (no heavy cream) with French beans, mushrooms and bacon 🥓

I made the mistake of reading this while the kindergartener eats his lunch before school. He kept asking, why are you laughing? What's so funny?

A sort of bibimbap with beef, french beans, carrots, bokchoy and egg. And a fascinating comic series about a teenaged president!

Finally have some time to catch up on my comic and graphic novel check outs from the library

So the new teenage president Beth Ross decides to travel around the world apologizing for American wars....lol I wonder if Trump will do that..lol. Kids today.

When life imitates art....except I bet this teenager president chooses a great cabinet. Beginner's luck.

When anonymous helps a fast food worker get elected president. You go girl - from the grill to the White House. Now if she can just save her dad and pay his hospital bills....

This comic is way too on point. It's everything I need to get through my post-election blues right now.

I was hesitant about this book given current real-world events, but I thought it was hilarious (even though it does hit a little too close to home right now). While I was thoroughly entertained throughout, these two word bubbles made me laugh out loud because they were so absurd yet so easy to imagine a talking head delivering them.

It's terrifying how possible all of the craziness in this book seems, but I loved Beth's ability to see through everything and take control.

This is the best social commentary I have read in a very long time. Even if you aren't a big comic person, I *highly recommend* checking out vol 1, especially given the wild state of our current political election. Seriously. Go get it from your library. Just try it. You'll be blown away at what the author/artists put in this comic.

"Prez" is totally prescient, with its promise of a taco drone on every corner.

Omg this book was hilarious and amazing. They truly did an excellent job with this one! Kinda of depressing in our current political climate but overall made me laugh out loud. Book 3 for #24in48!!
