My first finish for #JubilantJuly (it helps when you only have 20 pages left 🤣) and another #SeriesLove2023 finish (prequel to the series).

I enjoyed this more than The Mysterious Benedict Society. It was fun learning about Nicholas‘s background.

I was hesitant to read this one, as the last book in the series went so terribly, but I already owned this one. I liked it, but I felt that the plot built up to practically nothing. And it would have been nice to have an epilogue, since we have no idea what happened to John and Violet, as they‘re not mention in the series. Nicholas Benedict is an orphan with narcolepsy. ⬇️

Zoe-h ⬆️When he arrives at Child‘s End, a orphanage, he finds that it is struggling to stay afloat. So, when he hears about a missing inheritance hidden on the property, he figures he can fix and orphanage and leave. 3.5⭐️ 3y

Review: The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict by Trenton Lee Stewart, 2012 is a fantasy chapter book about an extremely brilliant young man. It's the prequel to another series and explains the backstory of the main character
Blurb: This book uses very mature language and concepts and is perfect for more advanced readers that enjoy mystery as well as society books

“To a person of whimsical mind, the scene might resemble something from a tale, a magical gathering in a dark wood, the umbrellas looming like toadstools over fairy folk.“

I like that this book has occasional pictures throughout to give the reader a sense of what is going on in the book visually.

This is a relatable book from younger children since the main character is 9 years old and deals with typical things, like bullying, selfish adults, and odd circumstances. It's a good read!

I am really interested in the gifted talents this 9 year old has. It said in chapter one he knows more than some adults which is so intriguing to me!

The first chapter of The Extraordinary education of Nicholas Benedict by Trenton Lee Stewart published in 2012 was a great read. It is about this 9 year old boy named Nicholas Benedict who is gifted with being a genius. But he also has a really odd shaped nose which makes his self confidence go down. Chapter one he is going to a new orphanage from his current one in which he is very excited to start a new life. Really liked chapter one.

#31BookPics Day 13: Before there was a #Mysterious Benedict society, there was the extraordinary education of Nicholas Benedict. As Fats noted in her review: “During the last few chapters, I felt my eyes well up with tears and found myself gasping for air. The book is so beautifully written that I immediately grabbed the first book in the series and started reading it again. Nicholas has my heart forever.” Her full review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-5EH
