The only way I could see myself using this book is to show how it is important for the students to tell me where they are going, or else I will get worried and have to go around the school asking if anyone has seen my student.

Review:
The book won a Caldecott Honor Medal in 1985. It is about a mother duck who has babies and then can not find one of them. She goes around the pond asking everyone she sees if they have seen her duckling. Finally, she find the missing duck.
I wish this book had more lines than just “have you seen my duckling?“
This is such a cute little book about trying to find a lost duckling that got separated from the group, but it doesn't have much of a story line other than saying “have you seen my duckling?“ over and over to all the other animals
