Really enjoyed this one. Felt refreshing in between some of my many holiday reads! Also I totally marked the wrong square on my bingo board and now I‘ll go fix it after this! 😂 #bookspinbingo
@sharread coming home to this was such a nice way to end the day! 😊 your kindness knows no bounds! It‘s an awful picture but I love everything! The chocolate isn‘t pictured because I may have already eaten it! 😆 I‘m excited for the book and the apron is great! Also almonds are my favorite so this was just perfect in all ways! Thank you thank you thank you!

The word building in this book was amazing. I could see the beasts and picture the settings easily and it made me want to learn more. The character building was good in that they were consistent and fleshed out but I think there was a disconnect with pacing. The characters made choices that went with their personalities but some decisions felt like they happened too soon or too late. Overall I enjoyed the book and would recommend.
There was much to appreciate in this story but the romance wasn‘t something that appealed to me. I felt that what developed between Leena & Noc just fell flat. The biggest reason was the question of what the heck really attracted the MCs to each other, I am talking the “I would die for you my one and destined mate” type of trope & I still don‘t understand what they saw in each other. Less time on romance more time on world building, yes please.
Fantastic Beasts meets Assassin's Creed in this epic, gripping fantasy romance from debut author Maxym M. Martineau.
I‘m going away for 3 days so of course I need to bring 3 books with me! I‘m more than halfway through the tagged book so I obviously need 2 back ups 😂
I‘ll probably be MIA this weekend. I don‘t know if I‘ll have any service. Have a great weekend everyone!
Does "new adult" mean more sex scenes. Anywho I finished. 3/18 #BFC #bookfitnesschallenge @wanderinglynn @julesG @librarianjen @Moony @britt_brooke @CocoReads @Reecaspieces @laurenslibrary
It‘s official, Maxym Martineau is an author to watch. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this debut sci-fi fantasy romance (the first in a trilogy). Our heroine Leena is a Charmer, exiled from her realm for a crime she didn‘t commit, and forced to bargain with a group of undead assassins for her life. At its heart, this is a story about learning to trust and never giving up. There‘s good world-building as well as character development, and a plot line that promises to entertain through the remaining two books. ⬇️⬇️
Up next, this one‘s billed as a romantic sci-fi fantasy on #NetGalley. First in a series. Out 6/25 Bring it on! 😄
