This short just whets my appetite to learn more about the life and work of Marie Curie.
This short just whets my appetite to learn more about the life and work of Marie Curie.
Here‘s my review for a book I just finished reading.
A Mind of Her Own is a nice short story about legendary scientist, Marie Curie. My knowledge of Ms. Curie is quite limited, so I enjoyed learning more about her. This short story has a bit of everything; history, feminism, education, and romance. #MountTBR

Book 6 of @deweysreadathon done. This is my first underwhelming book of the #readathon. Well narrated #audiobook and the subject (Marie Curie) peaked my interest but I got bored on my #audiowalk. 2 🌟.

I liked this little original. It was a tiny teaser to dig deeper into Marie Curie elsewhere.
It skims her life quickly with simple enjoyable dialogue.
So I threw on a pair of headphones and this one hour audible freebie from a few months back and succeed in doing the dishes that have been piling up all week! That alone makes this a win for me! That said, I really wanted this to be WAY MORE about her relationship with science and WAY LESS about her relationship with her husband (to be).
I liked this but I'd have liked it a lot more if it were longer and had more scope. The description was clear that this was very short and focused on Marie Curie meeting her husband so I can't complain that I expected anything more but I WANTED more. I enjoyed this but it left me wanting. I'll be looking for a good biography about her.
I don‘t know what I was expecting. I‘m Not passionate or remotely interesting in science or people in science. I was hoping for more depth. It was horrible but it wasn‘t long enough for commitment.
This is a super short listen about a tiny piece of Marie Curie‘s life. It was interesting, there‘s romance. Definitely made me want to learn more. #readwomen
