The name of the game this month seems to be how NOT to get a #BookSpinBingo - I‘ve got five different lines with 4/5, so you‘d think I‘d be close to finishing something. But instead, my next two reads will each give me another 4/5 line. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I may have my most filled-in board for the year and STILL not get a single bingo!

Well, I didn‘t manage to get a #BookSpinBingo in January, but I had fun trying! I did read both my #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin, so I‘m calling my first BookSpin month a success. 😊

No bingo yet, but I‘m getting close. I‘m diving into Lies My Teacher Told Me, still working on The Italian, and have The Queen‘s Advantage and Make a Scene ready for some instant gratification. Both #bookspin and #doublespin are done, which is almost unprecedented this early in the month. #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks

I‘m doing what I did and November and keeping my list for delivery modes.

#FeastMode is well underway, and while I struggled to find an hour to read yesterday today is going a little better. Unfortunately I DNFed my book as I wasn‘t enjoying it, but the two DNFs from this month and the Austen I finished yesterday make my #bookspinbingo board look pretty good! Starting Zorro‘s Shadow later today and hoping to finish it this weekend for another bingo.

So far so good on #bookspinbingo plus I‘m about 3/4 through the bottom left corner.

#OutstandingOctober is trucking along, too. I met my first goal, am making progress on my seasonal read, subbed in a third option for a goal that had two already but am almost finished with it. I hope tomorrow will see the end of one if not two of my in-progress reads.

So it's pretty funny that all the books I happened to read were on the same line, and I still didn't get bingo. This was entirely by chance. (And I'm halfway through In the Woods!)

Here's my pathetic #bookspinbingo card for the month. How sad is that? My only excuse is that I had to read some other books in the middle and I took a super long time to read Ninth House because I loved it sooooooooooooooo much. But still! I didn't even get to my #bookspin book.

The good thing about doing poorly last month, my list for this month is easy to make 😂🤣😂🤣 #bookspinbingo
The first 20 is my tbr with dabbling into audio which I‘ve never done. 21-25 one buddy read (I‘ll get at least one square!), then free spaces to pick from my various tbr lists, and then reread something (I like reading things with new perspectives)

This week we had a phone call correction as well as some recent book news. Plus our review and discussion of False Bingo by Jax Jemc. You‘ll have to listen to hear what we thought, but I want to know: how do you read short story collections? Straight through? Or do you use them as a break from other reading? Let us know!

I really liked the more long form stories in this collection and really disliked the two-four page ones.

I feel like I‘m juggling a few too many books, but I can‘t extend this hold anymore and I have till Friday to finish it. Hope it‘s good!
