This is a picture book that gives a lot of information about sharks. It tells a story instead of listing off facts. It talks about their prey, their anatomy, how they swim, their teeth, and more. This would be a great book for middle to older elementary aged children.

I couldn‘t really find a quote for this book, but I like how the title of this page is called hothead and it relates to it.

Personally, this would be a topic for me, but students are very intrigued about the deep blue ant, sharks in general.

I like how this book states multiply facts about the sharks and puts them in paragraph form. I also like how they book is not with picture but in illustrations using blue and red as main colors.

The book begins almost like a picture book as the reader follows a swimming seal with the shadow of a shark lurking in the background. The drama builds as the shark grows larger, until, all at once, it strikes

This book published in, 2014 was an amazing read with such great illustrations. The pictures dragged you into the story and made you feel as though you were living with these sharks.

This is a nonfiction book that was published in the year of 2014. This book gives a great narrative of what sharks do to catch their meals, how they catch their meals, and all of the parts of the shark that make it one of the top predators in the ocean.
Aside from all of the facts given throughout the book, one is able to stay engaged and intrigued with the constant illustrations of the sharks, their bodies, their teeth, and their fins.

Awesome book! Lots of information and amazing illustrations! Definitely would recommend. Very credible sources as well and has lots of diagrams to help children understand the concepts.

This non fiction book about white sharks is super interesting. It bounces between short text on pages with grand illustrations and longer text with diagrams. The illustrations are wonderful and beautiful and intrigue the reader. It is super easy to understand and contains some awesome facts! It is also written by someone who spent 4 days on the water with a Farallom shark team!

This non-fiction book is all about sharks and their fascinating statistics, mostly about how they hunt/get their food. It paints them in a positive, factual tone instead of negative. It starts out with short descriptions of things about sharks, then leads into deeper discussions on those certain subject within sharks. It also includes really blue/dark detailed illustrations. I think the illustrations is what would draw young readers in.
