The pulse-pounding sequel to Proxy! Inspired by The Whipping Boy and Feed, this adrenaline-fueled thriller will appeal to fans of The Maze Runner and Divergent. Once a proxy, now the figurehead of the Revolution, Syd is a savior to some and a target for others. His bodyguard Liam must protect Syd with his life but armed Machinists arent the only danger in the post-Jubilee world. A horrible disease is infecting people and since Guardians are hit first the government does nothing to help. Syd decides it's up to him to find a cure. . . And what he discovers leaves him stunned. This heart-stopping thriller is packed with volatile action and breathtaking heroics that will have readers racing to its epic conclusion. Off-the-charts amazing. Marie Lu, New York Times bestselling author of the Legend trilogy Nonstop action and breakneck pace characterize this exceptional thrillerthought-provoking and breathtaking. VOYA

Finished these two over the last couple of days. Intriguing dystopian story with a queer MC! This was definitely an interesting world to inhabit over for a few hours. The first one, Proxy, is on my #queer52 list that I've been neglecting a bit lately! 😬

In honor of the last week of #PrideMonth I'll post a LGBT book every day until Friday! :D

Guardian (and Proxy, the first book in the series) is great for lovers of diverse books in a dystopian Sci-fi setting that don't focus on the romance in the plot. I've LOVED reading them so much because they were simply different than most books I've read. :)

Not as amazing as Proxy, but a pretty good sequel, if you can get past the first 50 pages. The way Syd is portrayed is utterlly annoying and getting back into the story was difficult . The action is packed, less sentimental than I expected, and in spite of several plot holes, it still makes you want to finish it. Adding a good ending, the book talks about love, forgiveness and redemption in a surprising way. A diverse YA which is worth reading.
